Are all dance studios the same?
With so many dance studios to choose from, why choose us? Not all dance studios are the same. At Body Expressions Center of Performing Arts we pride ourselves on providing our students and parents with quality dance instruction in a professional, nurturing environment. We provide ongoing training for all of our staff keeping up to date with new styles and teaching methods.
What type of classes do you offer?
We offer ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, be-bop, hip-hop, musical theater, jazz technique, lyrical, contemporary, &
stretch conditioning & technique.
What age range are your classes?
We offer classes for students ranging in age from 2 years old to Adult.
Can I observe my child’s class?
Yes. We have parent viewing week once per month so you can observe your child’s progress throughout the year.
What if my child has never danced before?
That’s ok. We offer classes for all age ranges and levels. There are some classes that are more beginner friendly than others. Give us a call and we can discuss your child’s interests and the classes that are suitable for your child.
Can I try a class before registering?
Yes. Please call the office at 985-674-2174 and we can set up a trial class for you.
What if my child wants to do more training? Are there other opportunities for advancement?
Yes there are. The Body Expressions Dance Company is a great way to advance your dancers training. With more intense weekly classes and the opportunity to travel to conventions and workshops learning from other master teachers, the dancers training will progress rapidly. Please view the BXP Dance Company tab for more information regarding the Dance Company and it requirements.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes. We offer semi private and private instruction. Private lessons are perfect for brushing up on your dance skills before an audition or just wanting to improve technique. We customize our private lessons according to the student’s specific needs. We have several packages to choose from. Please call our office or stop by the information desk to pick up a semi-private or private lesson packet.
Where is your dance studio located?
Our dance studio is located in Mandeville, near Abita Springs, Covington, Madisonville, and Lacombe.
